Datchet Cricket Club is excited to launch brand-new Girls’ Cricket sessions for ages 6–13, led by our Director of Cricket, Tom Lambert. These sessions are the perfect introduction to the sport—fun, friendly, and designed to help girls build confidence, develop new skills, and make friends along the way.
We’re kicking things off with a FREE taster session, giving every girl the chance to give cricket a try with no commitment.

Tom Lambert – Director of Cricket, Datchet Cricket Club
Datchet Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Tom Lambert as Director of Cricket for the 2025 season and beyond. Tom arrives with an exceptional record in player development and high-performance coaching, built over more than a decade at the forefront of the English pathway.
From 2013–2025, Tom served as Performance Lead and Head Coach of Berkshire CCC, guiding the county through its most successful era, securing 20 NCCA titles and helping shape one of the strongest talent pathways in the country. Alongside this, he worked with the Middlesex Academy (2016–2022), further cementing his reputation for elite youth development.
Since 2021, Tom has also been the Performance Lead for The Challengers, winning three European titles and continuing to nurture top-tier emerging talent.
Across his coaching career, Tom has overseen 25 players progress to academy contracts, and helped 12 Berkshire players and 10 Challengers players earn professional contracts. His programmes have supported the rise of two full England internationals and six England U19 players, highlighting his proven ability to identify and develop players for the highest levels of the game.
Tom now brings his experience, leadership, and performance expertise to Datchet CC, where he will drive the club’s cricketing vision and lead its next phase of growth and success.
